Journey on the waves, the beginning...
So here it is, my first blog entry. Who am I? I am a radio amateur and a diy guitar pedal enthusiast from Finland. I have been interested in radios since I was a kid. I got my amateur radio licence in 2013. I have built several of my own antennas, but haven't yet built anything more demanding ham stuff than that.
I got into playing the guitar and bass in my teens. I bought some fx-pedals until I realized I could actually build my own. That realization was the actual beginning of my homebrew journey into electronics. That happened after I already had my ham licence.
The purpose of this blog is to document my journey in to homebrew electrical equipment, be it radio or audio (or maybe something entirely different). Every project I take on is a learning experience for me. I am in no way any kind of expert in any electronics stuff. I just barely know, how little I know. Hopefully someone who may see my struggles gets the inspiration to bash their head against the wall until they get the result they wanted.
I have several projects on the bench, figuratively and literally, and I would like to document at least some of them so others can reference and most likely learn from my mistakes.
The first project I am going to tackle, is a homebrew guitar/bass practice amp. The preliminary writeup or roadmap for that project will be the next entry on this blog.
Until next time,
